Busby's Open Letter to Justin Timberlake...

Dear Justin Timberlake,

Wassup man, how has everything been with you?  I see you've been getting your movie money and also you've been getting that Myspace money (if it's worth anything now).  Also I heard you about to get married to your little honey, which I am also happy for you.  Life is good for you right now, but I gotta holler at you for a second homie.  Do you know how long it's been since you dropped your last album?  6 years...that's right, 6 fucking years b!...Let me do the math for ya dogg.  Since I've been writing this letter, it's been 6 years, 2,159 days, 19 hours, 56 minutes, and 43 seconds since you dropped your sophomore classic album FutureSex/LoveSounds, and STILL counting.  It's been 6 years, since you gained a whole genre of fans.  It's been almost a DECADE since you distanced yourself from them Urkels keeping your wins low.  I'm speaking on behalf of all the fans of music, PLEASE go back to the studio and drop another gem on us, we are BEGGING YOU!!

Do you have any idea how excited we all were when we got word that you were in a music studio?  I felt like doing back flips like Aly Raisman.  Everybody was celebrating for joy thinking that you gonna come back and regain your spot.  We was thinking that you were gonna come back and show that other young cat on how it's suppose to be done.  Then our dreams were shattered when your rep shot down the rumor.  Instead you are shooting ANOTHER movie that is not due out for another year....**sigh**

Look I understand that movie money is good money.  I mean it's REALLY good easy money to make, and I ain't mad at ya.  I mean you have been a FEW good movies, Social Network being one of them.  You are also a regular on SNL and I'm not gonna lie, you are pretty funny every time you are a guest host on the show.  The Dick In The Box parody record became a hit and was fucking catchy as hell.  But let's keep it real man, music is your forte and it's who you truly are. It seems apparent that now a days, music has became your side hustle, and it seems like its not really a priority no more. I mean I respect you getting your money and all that but you need to get back in the studio where you belong. You are STILL a music artist, don't you forget that!

It's gotten to the point now that every time I see a new movie trailer of you I cringe.  It's like with every movie you are in, that could have been time you could have been in the studio and dropped more music.  Now DON'T ACT LIKE you still don't got it, because you STILL do, so don't play that bullshit with me.  I understand that you said numerous times that you have to be really inspired to drop another album.  After Justified, it took you 4 years to drop FutureSex/LoveSounds because you needed to get that itch again to go back into the studio.  But dude, it's been 6 FUCKING YEARS, and you STILL haven't got the itch to drop at least ONE more album?

I don't want to see your talent go to waste man, you have dropped classic music over the years.  From your record that made people's eyebrow raise.  To hooking up with Pharrell and having a breakout record that made people know that you were serious about your solo shit.  To making the biggest "Fuck You" song to your ex.  To hooking up with Timbaland and dropping one of the best dance songs of the decade.  I mean shit, the McDonalds catchphrase was inspired by one of YOUR records man!  And you got classics with NSYNC too, I'm not gonna down play that either.  I can go on and on, but you can get my drift.

Bottom line Timberlake, what I'm trying to say is, we miss hearing you on the airwaves.  You became the Eminem of R&B music.  You became the white boy that everybody loved because it didn't matter what skin color you were.  You dropped really GOOD music, and that was ALL that mattered.  We are BEGGING you to come out of music retirement and go back into that studio and drop another gem of classic material for the masses.  We believe in you Justin, you shouldn't let that other Justin go and take ya spot like that.  You still got it in ya....when you DO come back...we will be waiting...

Sincerely,

~~Mr. Busby~~

Chris Brown: Say hello to the bad guy...

I like Chris Brown's music, really I do. I really feel this dude is a very talented individual. Dude can dance his ass off, and is not really that bad of a singer. Hell I'm not gonna lie, when I be getting it on with a chick, his music really does help set the mood right. As a music artist, Breezy is one of the best R&B artist out there right now. However, beyond all that I feel this dude is one of the most bitch made niggas of all time. His actions for the past few years has made me lose a lot of respect for him as an individual. To be honest, I really didn't judge him at first after he gave the beats to Rihanna. I just thought that it was a real BIG mistake, and that he will learn from his actions. I didn't really judge him until the full police report leaked out, and I realized that it wasn't just one punch.

His actions after that didn't really help me with my opinion on him either. Seeing him on twitter kinda just shows how he is as a person. Word to Mrs. Carter, dude is just a immature little boy. For some odd reason he just feels the need to lash out at ANYONE who talks down on him. It almost feels like the guilt is just eating him alive and he is just going to put up that defense mechanism. This kinda reminds me what Marty McFly did in the Back To The Future sequels. Every time Biff or anybody else called him a "Chicken", Marty feels the need to prove to that person that he ain't no chicken. However, every time Marty does that it always just comes back and hits him right in the face.

In Chris Brown's case, he always has to prove how he ain't no bitch and lately he has just been putting on this bad boy image. From having constant tattoos, to bleaching his hair and becoming the new Sisqo, and now for some reason dude feels like he needs to start rapping more. It just seems like Chris Brown went from being the new MJ to being the new Bobby Brown. I see right through that bullshit, dude seems REALLY insecure.

I shake my head every time I see him have an outburst on twitter, dude always seems to be complaining and acting like the victim. He fails to realize that he got a slap on the wrist, and he got away with something not a lot of niggas can get away with. He basically got away with attempted murder, and it seems like he doesn't realize that. Also, the fact that he actually GAINED more female fans after that incident, AND the simple fact that they actually defend him makes me SMH even more. His female fans are the type of fans that can't hold on to a stable relationship. These basic bitches proved that fact even more after the grammys.

This lil CM Punk twitter beef just makes me wanna slap him in the face even more for how stupid he is. Chris Brown failed to realize that the WWE are CAPITALIZING off his burntness. The fact that Punk posted his response while Smackdown was airing live knowing damn well that Chris Brown would respond during that time frame just shows that Chris Brown really is a dumb ass. Brown's ignorance to the fact that after he responded, the E reported on it LIVE on the air, and their ratings went up. He gave the E free publicity, like they didn't need it already...

Also, Brown also failed to realize, that CM Punk ain't no "Punk", dude CAN fuck him up if he REALLY wants to. Punk wasn't playing when he said he can put him in a submission hold and make him scream like a baby. If i was Chris Brown he better know his role and shut his mouth..

Now as far as the whole Rihanna thing goes...

Ms. F Love got some explaining to do. Doing a duet with the man who laid the smackdown on you is REALLY not a good look. Especially if your suppose to be a role model to all your female fans. She just encouraged the females that are in unhealthy relationships that their fucked up boyfriends CAN change. Ri Ri may not think anything of it, shit for all we know she probably just did this just for publicity. She could just be using Breezy just to keep her name out there. However, either way you look at it, it is NOT a good look...

To wrap this up, Breezy as of right now, beyond music, your just soaked in bitchassness. As I'm writing this right now I'm watching your video with Busta Rhymes on MTV Jams. You are a VERY talented dude, I can give you that, but honestly work on your temper nigga. You keep giving these white folks a reason to be afraid of a black man. Just chill the FUCK out, you got money, you can get bitches, AND you have a Grammy. Just. FUCKING. CHILL....

Here is some advice Breezy, the next time a public figure speaks out against you. When you feel like losing your temper, if you feel your Breezy anger rising, when you feel like you need to throw a tantrum behind a keyboard....

Just remember the epiphany that Marty had when he realized that showing off his toughness just wasn't worth it. When someone pisses you off, just say this...

and keep getting your money...don't give people a REASON to hate you. That incident is gonna be a black cloud over your career for the rest of your life. No matter WHAT you do, people are gonna bring it up. You just gotta live with it, your a public figure, and the public will NEVER forget about it.

But if you wanna keep playing the role of a bad guy, and keep playing the role as the victim. Then you my friend really do need help...and you need some growing up to do...

MTV's Hottest Emcees of 2011: Busby's Opinion

For the 5th year in a row MTV gathers together the "greatest minds of hip-hop" and conjurer together the top 10 rappers who made the biggest impact in the past year. MTV is the same network that instead of airing music videos they air reality shows dealing with teen pregnancy and how cool it is to be from Jersey. So to take ANY opinion from MTV right now is damn near comical right now. But for some reason, the hip-hop community pays attention to this bullshit because we hold on just a LITTLE bit of HOPE that they will get it right for once. This year, like any other year we were wrong again...

The list is as follows:

10. Wale
9. Wiz Khalifa
8. Big Sean
7. Meek Mill
6. Jay-Z
5. Lil'Wayne
4. Nicki Minaj
3. Kanye West
2. Drake
1. Rick Ross

Now for some odd reason MTV feels that J. Cole, Big K.R.I.T, Kendrick Lamar, and Tyler, The Creator who ALL had a break through year in 2011 were not hot enough to make the list.

First off...let me just say that Wale in NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM had a better year then J. Cole. In 2011 J. Cole had his album debut at number 1, his single Work Out went platinum, had a lot of note worthy features with other artist (Notably with Mrs. Carter) AND he was nominated for a Grammy for Best New artist (which you know he don't want to talk about). Although Wale ALMOST had an equal year as Cole, he in NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM was more hotter then Cole...just NO WAY..

My blood pressure went a little bit more higher when i realized that K.R.I.T, Kendrick AND Tyler didn't make the list when they had a break through year in hip-hop. Big K.R.I.T AND Kendrick Lamar had the most critically acclaimed mixtapes last year, and their buzz was OFF THE CHARTS. Those 2 needed to be on that list more then ANYBODY. Tyler, The Creator of all people should have been on the list at least, shit maybe even number 10. Any rookie rapper WISHED they had a year like Tyler, The Creator did, he witnessed the power of what one tweet can bring to your career. After performing on Jimmy Fallon, Tyler and his Odd Future group had one of the biggest buzzes in hip-hop. Tyler was getting co-signs from damn near every rapper in the game and it also lead to his album opening at number 1 on the hip-hop and independent charts. It ALSO lead him in winning best new artist at the VMA's, so for him NOT to get recognized for his accomplishments last year is a slap is damn near a slap in the face.

Alot of these panelist arguments about the ranking of this list is damn right hypocritical and also damn right bias. Saying that J. Cole couldn't make the list because he had an "industry push" is the most stupidest argument I ever heard of. J. Cole built his fame BY HIMSELF, he had little to NO help on Hov's part. Let's not forget how Cole was damn near sweating the fact that Jay-Z didn't submit his verse before his album was due to the label. Let's not forget how much work Cole put in to building his fan base. From dropping 2 critically acclaimed mixtapes, to going on tour, to countless other things, he went number 1 WITHOUT his bosses help. Meanwhile, Wale pulled a LeBron and jumped ship to Rick Ross's MMG and got himself a new found buzz. Now isn't THAT an "Industry push"?...

Meek Mill is ranked higher then Jay-Z....I repeat Meek Mill is RANKED HIGHER then Jay-Z! Meek Mill did NOT have an album drop last year, all he had were too big club radio singles and ummmm....that is pretty much it. Meanwhile Jay-Z along with Kanye dropped one of the biggest albums of 2011 with Watch The Throne. Had one of the biggest tours of the year, knocked up one of the hottest chicks in the game, AND announced he was gonna headline Carnegie Hall in NYC. The closest thing that Meek Mill got to Carnegie Hall was passing out flyers to his concert at the local bar down the street. How is that beginner even mentioned in the same league as Jay-Z? It just boogers my mind.

Now having Rick Ross at number one shows that this list is payed for by the good people at Maybach Music Group. According to MTV Rick Ross, who had NO album released last year, NO number 1 singles and NO mixtapes, had bigger year then the rest of the list. He had a bigger year then Kanye West who was fresh off dropping My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and is one half of the Throne. Even through Kanye had the G.O.O.D. Fridays tracks, the Runaway feature film, and a bunch of Grammy Nominations. The MTV "brain trust" feel that Rick Ross had a better year then both Drake AND Kanye.

I know what MTV is trying to do with this list and I see right through that bullshit. I ain't falling for this brainwashing bullshit of a list, and damn near half of the world aint falling for it either. Jay-Z and Kanye should have been ranked together because they BOTH had one of the biggest years of their career, NOBODY had a year like them. Rather you liked the album or not The Throne were not just the hottest but they were the BIGGEST rappers of 2011. Ross must have paid good money to MTV to have niggas really convince the masses that Rick Ross is one of the hottest rappers in the game. They must really think we are stupid, real fucking talk.

Well, I stand corrected I AM stupid, for giving this list ANY type of credibility or acknowledgment. People who have brains knows who had the biggest year in 2011, people with any type of common sense knows what the get down is. They don't need a music station that does NOT play music videos to out an opinion about what is hot in the "streets". At the end of the day, its all just opinion, and we have to respect that opinion no matter what right?...

naw fuck that, fuck their opinion....

~~Mr. Busby~~

Busby's Random Thoughts...

1. Yeah that picture is how i am feeling for the past few weeks....but I will bounce back...:)

2. So apparently Earl is back. The track is ehh, but his rhyme scheme is still intact, almost like he never left. BUT, it seems like Tyler and the rest of the OFWGKTA are a little unhappy with his return. Hopefully they resolve whatever issue it is and get back to making that music. We need a Earl, Tyler, Em track tho...

3. Super Bowl was bullshit....fuck NY...and fuck New England....at least the halftime show was half way decent.

4.
This bitch is by far the most disgusting troll on television, I mean really tho...HOW can ANY man wanna tap this....Even if i was shit faced drunk and I was the last man in the entire world i will NEVER...EVER....EVEREVEREVERVEVEREVEREVER..EVER..IN MY MOTHERFUCKING LIFE...touch this...

5. NFL Network becomes boring as fuck during the off season..

6.
Welp WM is just 2 months away...only time of the year I actually give Vince McMahon my hard earned money.

7. Birdman needs to kick back from making bets and then looking like a sore loser when he doesn't win. I mean WHY would i wanna bet with him anyway? The fugly looking nigga doesn't even pay his producers..so what makes you think he gonna pay you on a bet?...whatever krama is gonna come him soon enough..

8. How did you celebrate black history month?....

9. I really don't understand how some of these folks on the Real World/Road Rules Challenges are still doing this shit. Some of them have been doing it for over a decade I mean damn..Mike found himself a career and he is doing pretty well for himself. I hope some of the others can get a life..but whatever...

10. I need a car....

Weezy F Overrated

Now I am not a Lil Wayne hater, in fact I am FAR from it..well not THAT far...but pretty far from hating on him. SOME of his records are light weight hot and I can't really hate on them. Back in his Hot Boyz years, dude was a COMPLETE different rapper then he is now. He rapped differently, had less tattoos, and was repping a different color. Then ALL of a sudden he just became someone SUPER different, he dropped the first Carter album, that was surprisingly good. He came like a sucker punch to the face on how good it was. Then after that he dropped Carter II which was exceptionally good. The only problem I had with that album was the track where he entitled himself "The Greatest Rapper Alive" I had to give him the side eye on that. Lyrically he was FAAAAAAAAAAAAAR from it, he should just call himself "The Greatest AVERAGE Rapper Alive" cuz that is all he is, and EVERY will be..to me.

After tbat, Weezy decided go mixtape crazy and jump on as many features as possible. The hip-hop media and the fans started to eat this up and they actually were believing his own hype. Which pretty much led to Carter III which pretty much certified him as one of the top rappers.

Now I DO NOT think Lil Wayne is garbage, in fact he isn't really that good either. He has a tendency to be borderline in my overall opinion on his music. He has the potential to say some pretty nice shit, and he has the potential to some pretty wack shit too. So he is just pretty much walking a tight rope when it comes to my opinion.

Now what I am mad at, is all this hype the hip-hop media gives him on what he does. Just because he jumps on a bunch of tracks with a bunch of rappers DOES NOT make you one of the best. Or dropping a bunch of mixtapes rapping over other niggas beats DOES NOT make you the best. Like they say quality is better then quantity and let me tell you, Weezy has a WHOLE stack of quanlity fillers. Rather its albums, or features, his track record hasn't been all that in my eyes. Also 9 times out of 10 he ends up getting outshined on the track that he is featured on.

Now because of the hip-hop media, that also produced all these bandwagon fans that defend this dude no matter what. I mean these are fans that claim they been down with Weezy since his first album when they can't even name one song of it. They get to me more then anything.

I really hope Lil Wayne stays alive for a LOOONG time, because if he dies at this point in his career, people are gonna compare him to Pac. And that is one argument I do NOT want to get in because I will just lose my mind...smh

Random Thoughts...

1. Wasn't Doug one of the best cartoon shows on Nickelodeon? How gay was it when Disney brought the rights and made it bullshit?...

2. WHY are they having a 3rd season of Teen Mom? They might as well make a spin off show with Amber and that bitch ass fat dude Gary. That is the reason why everybody watches the show anyway. We all wanna see that Amber bitch Chris Brown Gary..lol

3. Speaking of an Amber..why is Amber Rose mad at Vibe for the interview she gave them? She pretty much exposed herself for being the gold digging hoe that she is.

4. Like I stated in my review earliar..Bad Meets Evil is the best duo album of 2011..unless Watch The Throne delivers...Em & Royce are holding the crown for now..

5. I'm gonna go to Rock The Bells this year...shit is gonna be epic...

6. Lupe Fiasco needs to just shut the fuck up...and keep rapping..

7. I'm over this Young Money hype..

8. I have a feeling Frank Ocean is gonna have a falling out with Odd Future..idk why..it's just a feeling..

9. I wonder how many people Beyonce fired for allowing her album to leak so early..

10. in fact WHY is there STILL release dates for albums in 2011? shit is gonna leak 2 weeks in advance anyway...

11. Netflix is addicting as fuck..watched the entire season of Xena: Warrior Princess & Buffy The Vampire Slayer...now I am on Lois & Clark: New adventures of Superman...nostalgia like a motherfucker...

12. Transformers 3 actually looks legit...but thats how they tricked me last time...

13. Crazy that in a few weeks..its gonna be 2 years exactly since MJ died..feels like yesterday..:(

14. Does Jay-Z EVER lose?...

Xena: Now THAT'S a 5 star chick! (Busby Rant)

I've been watching the ENTIRE series on Netflix for the past few weeks now and damn this is bringing back SOOO much memories. Xena: Warrior Princess was one of my FAVORITE television shows growing up in the mid to late 90's. This show was SO ahead of its time that it's not even funny. I am surprised on how the series still lives up to today's standards and it doesn't age at all. This show was the spin off of Hercules: The Legendary Journeys.

Xena was originally a villein that wanted to kill Hercules and become the true "Destroyer of Nations". However, Herc showed her that being good was better then being bad, and converted her over to the light side. After that, I guess the producers loved the character (most notable the actress Lucy Lawless) and decided to give the character her own show. After that, the rest is history..

Now let me start off by saying that Lucy Lawless deserved a fucking Emmy for her role in Xena! She played that role to the fucking core and is CRIMINALLY underrated as an actress. I'm surprised she never got any other leading roles in feature films or other tv shows. She was so good at her role that I didn't even know she was from New Zealand until I saw her on the Tonight Show talking in her native accent. She brought so much depth to that character that you literally BELIEVED that she WAS Xena. Them icy blue eyes is what got me, Xena had them eyes that can tear through your soul and rip it apart. And she has that smile that can light up the world, Lucy Lawless was born to play Xena..case cased.

Her sidekick Gabrielle (played by Reene O'Connor) was a good character too. That was Xena's ride or die chick and was there for her no matter what. It was vice versa for Xena too. Looking back at it, I don't know why I never had a hard on for Gabrielle. The chick was always wearing a green tank top and a lil red skirt and she ALWAYS had a stomach showing. She had IMO one of the most sexist stomachs on cable television.

Now when I say the show was ahead of it's time..it really was when it comes to terms with mixing action with drama. The fight scenes were unique in their own way, you literally had a woman doing back flips and slashing niggas up and not giving a fuck WHO is in her way. Always throwing her little spinning boomerang thingy called a charkram, that shit was too gangsta. The acting and writing was top notch and it proved that every week when her and Hercules were number 1 in the ratings every week.

I thought Hercules was too boring of a show, and I thought that Kevin Sorbo was a horrible actor (still do to this day). The character Hercules was too boring for me anyway, he just had super strength and he ALWAYS had an advantage on the villeins because of that. He was pretty much like Superman, and that shit was fucking boring.

Xena was the female Batman in my eyes, I connected more with her because she seemed more real. I liked how Xena ALWAYS had the advantage on the bad guys because she was once one of them. She knows what they are gonna do WAAAAY before they even thought it. She was ALWAYS 10 steps ahead of the bad guys before they can even get a step in and i LOVED it.

Her fighting skills were not to be fucked with either, when you hear that war cry from her, you know its gonna be your ass! That is what really turned me on to the show, because she was a WOMAN whooping niggas asses on a daily bases. It got to a point where I forgot that she was woman, and I just saw her as just a nigga you shouldn't fuck with. She even had this move were she gets both her index fingers and pinches your neck that cuts off the flow of blood to your brain. You have 30 seconds to live unless Xena re-pinches ya...gangsta...

Now, what REALLY certified her gangsta, and made me a fan for life was when Gabrielle got injured from a poison arrow and a spained foot. So Xena was forced to take on an ENTIRE Persian army by HERSELF. For 15 min, I watched this bitch single handy take out the WHOLE army on some Neo shit. This bitch want dumb on these motherfuckers! She even did a break dancing move on them niggaz it was fucking insane! I literally sat there in awe like "I KNOW these niggaz are NOT getting their ass whooped from one person..a WOMAN no less!"

After she took out the last few dudes, she pointed her sword at them niggas and said "Go home, there are THOUSANDS more like me!.." after that I was like 'Fuck Hercules.."

Xena: Warrior Princess will always have a place in my heart, the show helped pave the way for other heroines. Like the Bride from Kill Bill, Buffy, the WWE divas (which is a stretch), and countless others. It's crazy that it's been over a decade since the show ended and if you watch just ONCE episode, it can STILL have you hooked.

Now THAT'S a 5 star chick!...

The Legend of Detox..

Don't worry about Detox, it's coming! We gonna make Dre do it..-Eminem in 2004

Em made that statement damn near 7 years ago, in total 2011 will mark 12 years since 2001 dropped. Do you STILL believe in the boy who cried Detox? For me honestly, I pretty much stopped caring after the last 5 years he shouted that it was coming. Right now my expectations along with EVERYBODY in hip-hop, rather you are a fan or an artist, are at a ALL TIME high, and honestly we are REALLY impatient. Right now, we are expecting this album to be the greatest album of ALL TIME. That's right..OF ALL TIME!!!

Detox is the final chapter in Dr. Dre's drug trilogy. It's going to be the album, that is going to bring all of Dre's album's full circle. This album MUST be THE album that brings the west coast back in the music scene. To be honest I feel that time came and went. Game tried it, Nipsey Hussle tried, the bay area rap scene tried it, but they are coming up rather short. We need that good Doctor to come through and show us how it is done.

But for real through, this shit is becoming fucking ridiculous. Damn near everybody and their momma has worked on this album. From Snoop, to Em, to Hov, to Nas, to Weezy, to Kanye, etc you name the rapper/singer, they probably have a track with Dre. DJ Quik says that Dre has over 8 albums worth of material for Detox, maybe even more. I remember the original concept of the album was that it was going to be the story of a hitman, and all the rappers on it were going to be characters and it was going to be narrated by Denzal Washington. I remember the COUNTLESS interviews that Bishop Lamont was doing where he was talking about how AMAZING the album sounds and how it is going to be a game changer.

Now Bishop Lamont, along with Busta Rhymes, Eve, Hittman, and even Rakim, were either dropped from Aftermath. Or they got fad up of Dre's laziness and left the label. Honestly I really can't blame them, for being the back burner for so long, I would get impatient too with his ass.

But the only person that has kept by Dre's side for so long is Eminem. Em feels he owes his life to Dre since he signed him, and they have over the years grew a bond that can never be broken. Em wrote I Need A Doctor speaking for EVERYBODY in hip-hop telling to Dre to hurry the fuck up!

Now in the year 2011, we are seeing Dr. Dre a whole lot more then we seen him in the last decade. Dude looks like he has been training to be in the WWE or something..

He has dropped 2 singles now, along with a 2 VERY expensive videos, and it's shaping like Detox might ACTUALLY come out...ha..I'll believe it when i see it..

When I say see it, I mean I want to literally see it in F.Y.E for $12.99 with CD package and all. Shit this is a album 12 years in the making..will the Doctor bring hip-hop back to life?...or will we REALLY forget about Dre..

Let's be honest that last Relapse CD was...

Pretty fucking good....

Now I know Em has talked down about this album on numerous occasions, especially on Recovery when he said that he threw the album away. But as a known Em stan myself, I am just gonna have to respectfully disagree with Mr. Mathers.

Relapse was Em's first solo album in 4 years since Encore. Now we all know the story about Em's drug problem so I am not gonna get into that aspect. I am gonna pretty much talk mostly about the music. Now before I go on let me just say, that this album was almost entirety produced by Dr. Dre, and in my honest opinion, Relapse is Dre's best laced album since Doggystyle, yeah I said it! From track 1 all the way to Underground, Dr. Dre showed everybody that he still has it production wise...now if he would just stop bullshitting, he should just bring out Detox already goddamnit!

Lyrically Em was back on his SHIT! Everybody wanted Em to go back to that Slim Shady content that made us all fall in love with him when he first came out. The fans wanted him to rap about all that wacky, crazy, insane shit again, and that is what Em did, with VENGEANCE! Eminem was spitting his ASS off through out the ENTIRE album. He rode the beat like only he could and he did it so flawlessly. Only Eminem can spit about rape, incest, and molestation and have you nodding ur head to the beat and reciting every lyric to it. Then you will be disgusted with yourself for actually doing it. Songs like Medicine Ball Em had poking fun at Christopher Reeves, and even rapping as him. Em was doing too much, but hey he stated it when he said "I think its time for you to hate me again!". Shady's most lyrical song on the album was Stay Wide Awake. The track was pretty much Kill You 2.0, he raped as if he was a killer from a slasher film and by the end of the song, u would be afraid to go to sleep. Em's flow on this song was INCREDIBLE and was by far the highlight of the album

The album played like a movie from start to finish, it was from the mind of a serial killer. And it played like a story from a man waking up from a nightmare. Tracks like 3AM, Stay Wide Awake, & Same Song & Dance played the serial killer theme so perfectly. However, tracks like Deja Vu, and Beautiful showed how Em was waking up and seeing how he really needs help. IMO the album was almost a masterpiece...keyword ALMOST..

Now I can see where people will get the notion that the album was bad. For starters the first single from the album is where Em fucked up with the most. IMO We Made You wasn't THAT bad of a track, Em was still maintaining his flow and lyrics and stayed within the theme. However what I was more disappointed in was that it was let ANOTHER wacky 1st single. I mean Em was gone for 4 years, and having the same theme was being a bit tired. Wacky single first, then the real music second, i mean if it worked the first few albums it would work now. However after 4 years Em should have knew better that's what his fans wanted to hear.

Another thing that people say that brought the album down was his voice. The infamous "accent" he was using got on everybody's nerves. Now IMO it wasn't THAT bad, I mean seriously if the same people that didn't like the "accent" are the same people that go and listen to Wakka Flocka's illiterate rapping ass.

Now overall Relapse was the Eminem album that everybody wanted from him. The people demanded that Em want back to his roots and rapped about that crazy shit, and that is EXACTLY what he did. I remember when the album leaked, everybody was actually SHOCKED on how good the album was. Some posters even went on to say that Em had a classic. I felt the same way, I played that album from front to back on a daily basis. I'm lucky nobody listens to tape cassettes no more or else I would have worn that tape out.

However, after about a few months want by, people started to talk down on the album, and even were comparing it to that album that nobody wants to talk about. Relapse was MILES ahead of that album by EVERY aspect and I just felt that people were just hating on Em like they usually do. But then that's when MTV had to way their opinion and do their Top 10 Hottest Emcees AKA Top 10 most popular pop artist. Even through Relapse was the highest selling rap album of 2009, after Em's return to the stage when he headlined the Voodoo concert, and his monstrous feature on Forever, MTV felt that wasn't "enough" credibility to make the list. Their reasons were bullshit of course..

After the "uproar" that's when Em decided to go a complete different direction with the next album and completely change the Relapse sequel to Recovery. Which is the complete opposite from the previous album, and was more fit for the mainstream crowd. Now I liked Recovery, it certainly wasn't a bad album for my taste, but Relapse will have that special place for me. It was the album suit for the core Em fans, that album should have made other rappers go back into the studio and re-record their shit.

Fuck the bullshit, Relapse is one of my top Em albums with Recovery being second fiddle...

Too bad we will never get to hear Relapse 2..=\

It's Charles Hamilton..

Charles Hamilton is a very intriguing individual, he is a very interesting and is very complex. Artistically, in my opinion, he was the one with the most potential in that freshmen class of 09. He can rap his ass off, and you honestly can't deny the dude got skills when it comes to flow. Production wise, in my opinion, he is one of the best producers out there right now. I put him up there with Kanye and Just Blaze as one of the best producers in the game. I am really surprised more artist aren't fucking with him production wise, because he got beats for DAYS. Overall, Charles Hamilton had the makings in him to be one of the best. I will go out in a limb and say that Kid Cudi & B.O.B's success should have been Charles Hamilton's success. However the only thing that Charles had was POTENTIAL, and that is where it stops from there.

Last year this dude had massive fail after massive fail in less then 6 months. First it was the accusations of him stealing a beat, then there was that freestyle battle where that white boy renegaded him, then he got roasted again by Serius Jones, then there was the punch heard around the web, and finally the icing on the cake was the whole J. Dilla fiasco. Then the final nail in the coffin was when Interscope dropped him and the album This Perfect Life which would have been his debut album got shelved. After all that Charles Hamilton just disappeared from not only the internet, but the rap game in general.

He then made his return towards the end of the year, but it seemed like the damage was done and people just ignored him. Just recently he officially made his return to the blogging world and the rap world when he dropped 6 mixtapes in one day. However, after reading his blog, I think he has gotten worse. He open admits that he is depressed and that he needs help. His music is also a reflection of that, alot of his songs got a very dark tone to them, and it just seems like he is screaming for help.

Now like I stated before I think CH is one of the most talented rappers in the game right now. People always look at me faulty when I say that I listen to and actually enjoy his music. The ONLY reason why I still listen to this dude is simply because of his music and thats where it stops. Other then that, I could give a damn about all the weird and dumb bullshit he be saying or doing outside of his music. I mean seriously, if people still listen to Rick Ross's fake ass and completely ignore the fact that he is lying about his lifestyle, and just enjoy his music I could enjoy Charles Hamilton. After all that shit that happened to him last year, I was kind of mad at him. Not because of all the massive fails, but because he completely just turned his back on any fan that he had left. He just simply disappeared without ANY explanation, and for some reason it kind of got to me. Not granted he most likely was embarrassed and didn't wanna face the world, but just leaving his fans that were down for him since his first mixtape seemed like a slap to the face.

Hopefully now he gets his head on straight, and continues to drop the music that had hip hop fall in love with him. If he drops more music like The Pink Lava Lamp, & The Dead Zone then he will be one of the best rappers in hip-hop..
